Health Insurance Premium Spikes Imminent as Tax Credit Enhancements Set to Expire
If Congress waits until the end of the year to extend the enhancements, 1.5 million more people will be uninsured in 2026 compared to an earlier extension.

In most states, open enrollment continues through January 15, 2026. Check back regularly before then to see if premiums have changed or if any additional action is needed.

Remember, you have until December 15 to select a plan that starts January 1. You should either choose a plan or opt out of auto reenrollment AND auto pay before then.

If you have #ACA marketplace coverage in 2025, make sure to return to the marketplace and update your information. Don’t rely on automatic re-enrollment, or you may be shocked by your January premium.
