Just how did our military manage to not be obliterated for many decades without tariffs?

I fear he’ll be our Lavrentiy Beria.

If they won, I’d hope some wise ass would troll a certain President offering to make the US Canada’s 11th province.

Dalton is superb and the car is cool. But the Bond girl isn’t that great, and those fun loving Afghans fighting alongside Bond probably morphed into the Taliban after a few years.

Ironic. The man whose 1st inaugural speech was dubbed American Carnage now claims talk of slavery detracts from all the brightness in our country.

Not just backward. I generally felt we were the good guys. No longer. We’re apathetic at BEST.

I had this in the past, but reacquired it over the weekend when I scored 300(!) cds for $25. The sound is a little strange, but it’s still nice having it back…and an excellent Mehta M5 with the LAPO again too.

DS9 was so much more than just the Jake Sisko Show, but the father son relationship is what made the program unique. Also note: Sisko had a dad, too. Even with the arcs…which maybe weren’t quite as great as how B5 handled them, there’s still some really solid seasons.

I thought it was fun. Generally, I dislike holodeck episodes, too. I thought this one was exceptionally well done.

It’s funny how my friends who believe in this conspiracy theory deflect when it’s pointed out they’re sounding like the other side. I’ll ask, “How did it help out a candidate who never even showed up to a single primary debate, and still won handily?” No answer.

What a beautiful cover, too. Streaming is great, but newer releases don’t have the great care shown for jacket design.

I feel he carries on French music far more than anything by Boulez.

Bernstein’s Serenade seems like an unexpected treat for this set.

Thank you! I’ve borrowed some from the library in the past. But this one must be relatively recent. Unless I’ve missed it.

I wasn’t aware of this set. I wonder what some of the other contents are.

Someone should get him in a room with a Canadian who triple dog dares him to make it happen. Stress that as 51st state they’d have more electoral votes than California & most of the population lives in cities & would tilt Blue & how they can’t wait to Make America Metric and charge gas by the liter.

It might tick off the Szell fans, but Dohnanyi’s Brahms cycle is better…and so is Maazel’s.

I use the Overcast app for podcasts. At some point, I stopped seeing new episodes for Music For Awhile; and assumed the program had ceased. However, while goofing around on SoundCloud; I found more episodes. I’m happy it’s continued. Looks like
I’ve got some catching up to do.

I suspect that anyone out against Trump would have lost…and that’s the most disconcerting part of all.

Colin Davis, Szell, Bernstein, and Vonk are four of my favorite Fours. ;-)

We’ve already seen terrible appointments. When he pardons the J6ers, I fear it’ll be a blank check for others to do anything on his behalf. Hell, he’ll probably give them reparations for their “pain and anguish” with money meant for the environment or libraries or something.

They’ve looked past everything else thus far, so I would be stunned if anything would break the spell now.
