Telling ICE (an organization that acts no different from every secret police force in dictatorships throughout history) to fuck off isn’t just noble, it’s a civic duty; it’s mandatory.
It’s shit like this that makes me think we have a financial literacy crisis, not a student loan crisis. The incredulity of people that do sub-minimum repayments pisses me off just as much as the loans themselves, and I say this as someone who wants student loans to be abolished.

I read the article and it’s dogshit because it deflects accountability away from American gun culture, where it belongs, and blames educational institutions for not tolerating intolerance instead.
Maybe I’m wrong again? Some sources are saying he’s a Nick Fuentes fan who thought Charlie Kirk was too far left, but that would also contradict some of the engravings on the bullets. I don’t know at this point. Everything about this is very confusing. All I know for certain is that dude was crazy.
Correction: He isn’t right-wing, but his family is; he’s just a mentally ill centrist meme lord gamer with internet brainrot. There was another guy, also named Tyler Robinson (a very generic name) who lived on the same street that donated to Trump in 2020. Strange coincidence.
Of course the assassin is right-wing. I’m more surprised that he’s not ex-military considering how accurate that shot was from such a distance. The only way a nerdy college kid can land a shot like that is if they’re practicing at the range full-time.

Former Army Sniper here. Had a few drinks. Finally saw the video. Guess I'll give my two cents. So it's really hard to say anything with certainty without knowing the caliber/rifle used but I'll speak in generalities and then make some assumptions. A shot like this at 200 meters can be difficult
Agreed. I'm leaning towards "amateur with experience at a shooting range," but no someone with training shooting from elevated positions and so forth, hence hitting in a spot that no one would intentionally target.

It would be pretty funny if UVU gets an enrollment boost after this. I didn’t go to school there, but they are a pretty decent, solid school from what I’ve heard. Orem also happens to be my birthplace, so maybe I’m a little biased.

I feel the exact same way about Charlie Kirk that I do about UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson: Assassinations are bad, and I also don’t feel bad for assassination victims that caused objective societal harm. Both can be true.

The way higher ed works in the US is predatory and I wish it would change, but the sad reality is that unless you have grants, scholarships, or parents that work there, going to university straight after high school is just a bad financial decision. Don’t do it. Don’t fall for their narrative.
