This is putting those Christian Home Stores in a whole new light contrasting with those campy mall stores reeking of incense and covered in elephant stuff from Tibet

Time and again some of the most time consuming and expensive parts of benefits programs are checking to make sure people comply with the insane requirements of some of these programs.

They can be more effective and more beneficial the simpler we make them to use.

Wrist problems are cumulative. My regular pain subsided after using the brace every day for a month and switching to vertical mice and doing exercises AND using a keyboard correctly. I don't use the brace anymore, but if I go lax on the other three? It comes back. Quickly.

Look up guides on how to sit at a computer correctly, it's not a position that comes naturally and even if you know it you've forgotten some details. You will slouch and you will forget, figure out a way to remind yourself to not use a keyboard weird and to sit correctly.

Get wrist brace, wear it all the time.

It will get in the way of things. It will be uncomfortable to bend it. Both of these are good things, because they are things you should stop doing. That's why you wear the brace during the day and not just at night.

Get a vertical mouse.

I've tried to shift the teams I work on to be more kanban style, with no set sprints, which works much better for continuous incoming work teams. Once someone picks up a task they don't stop until it's done or blocked. No interruptions. Continous backlog priority, next task is plucked off the top.

This lasts until management comes in with "drop everything you're doing and do this immediately" then it's lost forever. Once you change the to do list mid sprint everyone will use that to bully you into doing it again.

Everything breaks down from there.

Having gone through Scrum training one of the first things I recognized is that nobody follows Scrum.

One of the mandatory tenets of Scrum and Agile is that when you lock in the sprint list you *do not* accept new work.

"Oh but this other team needs-"
Then it should have been planned. Nope.

Minor nitpick, for centuries this isn't what a cathedral would look like. The gilding and adornments of fancy materials happened in the 1800s with a wave of remodeling.

A peasant in the 1000s would have gotten something with more bare stone. Still plenty awe-inspiring

When talking about convention logistics I use my Microsoft Ignite trip in 2017 as a yardstick for high end. Huge attendance, huge space, $500 per day for 3 days.
