The thing I resent most about the brain fog when I have it is that it's not only miserable, it means I can't figure out solutions for anything else.

(Or, um do them. It also short-circuits my short-term memory, and lists only help if they're in the same visual plane as the thing I need to do.)

Yay, continued potato!

(And when we get a chance, and you are less potato, I have some delightful geology to share with you.)

I'm at 1 (never did a boombox on the shoulder, though we did have them set up for outside stuff sometimes.)

I feel like 'learned how to walk so you didn't make the portable CD player jump' should be on this list, though.

(My parents had an elderly Britannica on the bookcase by the front door.)

The person I was most likely to be sharing a room with at the time is hard of hearing, so she slept through it, but also ... not as helpful for reporting!

The other thing is if you don't live with someone, it's easy to miss your snoring! (These days, there are apps, but when I was diagnosed, they weren't as reliable.)

My sleep apnea is pretty mild, but treating it made a huge difference in my life. (Also, fewer allergy annoyances! Win twice over!)

I really like releasing on Fridays!

(And the number of times people have gone "Thank you for giving me something to enjoy on the weekend" is not small.)

I might also have some experience of reading Tuesday releases and getting no sleep going into Wednesday....

I'm so glad you're enjoying! The Edmund and Pen show is a delight in so many ways (and they were so fun to write.)

This is a fine place to start with my books, but readers may be delighted with the old friends who show up.

And for people nervous about figuring out how Oxford works and who want a more orderly explanation than the characters provide, see the link from the intro (to right before the author notes).

Edmund: Busy keeping up the right face and seeming in public while reading Greats (Classics) and doing not one but two magical apprenticeships.

Pen: Just wanting to do cryptography. Figuring out how to do that's a trick. It's not like she can talk about what she did during the war.

Full title: Stimpson’s Boston Directory; Containing the names of the inhabitants, their occupations, places of business, and dwelling houses, and the city register with lists of the streets, lanes, and wharves, the city officers, public offices and banks, and other useful information

The cosy part here, I rush to mention, is people taking care of each other and figuring out a way forward from those bits.

(The one Kiya describes as the cosy novel about the Blitz is Upon A Summer's Day, for the record. It's about how people keep going.)

And I can come along with a link! celialake.com/links has a collection of the most useful links including things like "some possible places to start". (I am also delighted to give suggestions.)

Kiya is absolutely the other half of my brain on this, improving so many things about my books.
