This was a painting which had no soul and then got scrubbed out and then became the ghost of something it was meant to be.

Could someone please identify this wild plant. Growing in damp ground in W Suffolk. Leaves are leathery and smooth, looks like it spreads by roots

Spring Equinox
.
Today was a perfect warm and sunny spring day for a small van adventure to NT Ickworth, walking, looking and painting.
And just hanging out in the van.

A beautiful clear sunny day for a camper van lunch. We attempted to park at NT Wimpole but it was crazy busy! So we went to RSPB Ouse Washes at Earith, peaceful and great views over the reed beds.

Latest make - pj bottoms
I’d been searching for 100% cotton fabric, then I recalled a tip, look for bed linen.
I found a ‘new’ habitat single duvet cover on ebay, it cost £14 for enough fabric for two pairs of pj bottoms (though I may dye the pale green so it doesn’t look like scrubs)

This week I was excited to start the Experimental Still Life Experience with the inspiring artist Gabriella Buckingham. I know it’s going to give my painting practice a shake-up and push it new directions. Enrolment is still open until the end of Feb

All the tender plants ate now in the greenhouse in readiness for the cold weather that is forecast. It’s been so mild up until now some were still in flower before I cut them back.

The Vanessa Bell exhibition at the Milton Keynes Art Gallery (next door to the huge shopping centre) is a delight. A showcase of her designs and paintings over 50 years. Well worth a visit.

Cronk! Cronk!
As we walked through Moyns Park this afternoon we heard an unmistakable call and then spotted a Raven sitting at the very top of one of the tall trees by the house.
