i feel you!! it’s not the same thing, but just hanging out while on call comes close to it for me, at least with some friends. i recently hung out on a discord call with a friend while i was doing some work for uni and they were cleaning their room and it was nice even though we didn’t talk :]

don’t know if this is a question or not but i love just existing in the same room as someone. just each person doing their own thing and not bothering each other but still enjoying each other’s presence. that’s my favorite way to spend time with people ngl
