I've done a lot more painting than posting lately. Here's my mercenaries for a campaign I'm in! They are Serrano's Sparrows, former members of the Republic Armed Forces, and now trying to make ends meet as mercs.

Got my genderqueer pride mech finished before the end of the month! First time really experimenting with this much white, and with such heavily varied colors.

First Clan mech! Going for a dirty olive drab for the Striker Star. Planning to run them as Goliath Scorpion Seekers. Also debating if I wanna strip my Thunderbolt and paint it in the same style, to add into the star 🤔

Forgot I never posted the finished lance! Still working out lore, and whether or not my future Clan mechs are gonna be part of the same unit and painted the same, or be their own thing.
I feel SO much better about this lance compared to my first one. Speedpaints really are magic.

My first 40k miniature! I don't have lore or a symbol yet for my homwbrew chapter, so shoulder symbols will get added later, along with a base. This took me approximately 10 hours so far, I'd say. I know there's improvements to make on later ones, but I'm proud of myself.

When I was around 12-13, I was starting to get really into Star Wars and at the time SW Saga Edition (a d20 system) was the newest SW ttrpg system and I was gifted the core book for my birthday. It's kinda like D&D 3.5 but Star Wars, and I still have all my books.

My first 40k novel was The Twice-Dead King: Ruin. Cannot recommend it and the sequel, Reign, enough. It has some of the humorous necron writing of Infinite and the Divine, but also is firmly grimdark and deeply tragic. Basic necron backstory knowledge is helpful, but not necessarily required.

I didn't get any photos of the eclipse proper, but I did get some shots of the sky around it. I wasn't in complete totality, but it was pretty darn close at around 95% or so.

From what I've looked at so far (am baby MechWarrior), I really like the Thunderbolt for its jack-of-all-trades nature, and the clunky, asymmetrical look that just feels really heavy and industrial.

Some deer I saw earlier this year on a nature trail 🥰 They were so calm and used to people being around there. I got within a couple arms' reach of both of them before they walked off.
