I so enjoyed presenting at the Denver Rural Summit in Pueblo, CO last week! Sharing resources with others and learning more about the unique opportunities and needs of rural and tribal communities is such a pleasure, as is making new friends in the work. Thank you to DU Morgridge College of Ed!

I have to brag for a sec. My oldest made this super cool outfit for my youngest (pictured) to wear to her going away to med school party. What creativity! My girls are the best ever.

Early-career-efficiency mode: you found the perfect cup to transfer coffee into your too-large mug for cup #3 out of 5 and you spend the 2 min of drip time deciding whether it is more efficient to use a spoon over the cup when pouring to prevent drips, or clean up the drips to avoid washing 2 items.

Just had an interesting discussion with my little (24yrs) about disruption, bullies, and how to resist effectively. Thankful that she ended with “I feel better. Thanks mom, you’re my person to talk things through with.” Whatever I have done right here, I am eternally grateful for it.

Went to help my daughter put up her tree. This is how she packed it away last year. Should I be concerned or pleased with her ingenuity?

The best things happen in between conference sessions. Mentoring is a longitudinal practice that has deep roots. Thank you #NAGC family for tending them well.
