And while I will not be voting for Genocide Joe (I live in a very safe blue state) I will not criticize anyone who does so in order to keep trump out of office.

Thank you for actually taking the time to understand, that's honestly a pretty rare gem on here at the moment.

And to think... America could've had a progressive house in the government by January.

It's a misinformation thing, ChatGPT is intentionally programmed to be vague.

Where do neo-nazis fit in to all this?

I know, I was consoling a trans protester the other day on the best way they can make themselves heard in the streets, and commending them for that, too. But I've also known plenty of trans people who know the real risks of Trump.

And to give credit, we're seeing a pretty robust #Uncommitted Movement across the country, so there's a good example of where voting CAN be a potent message to the Dems.

If you want to put pressure on the White House to stop, it's gonna take more than simply voting to stop that (funny that).

Fortunately, we're finally starting to see resistance to the Biden's Administration's cowardly appeasement of the Israeli Regime, and it's great to see.

Nobody here wants to downplay what is happening in Gaza, man. But that doesn't change the reality that the house and senate could pass as many progressive bills as they like and be meaningless if the president can just veto all of them.

I'm pretty sure telling people to vote for him rn pisses everyone off more, yeah.
April 30, 2024 at 8:21 PM
And yes, if Biden loses it's absolutely on him. It would be in everyone's interests to try and collectively make sure he doesn't do that and potentially even avoid having to vote for ongoing genocide.

It didn't necessarily matter of course. It didn't matter for MLK when he came to the conclusion that the white moderates cared more about the absence of tension than the sight of justice, just like how it doesn't matter now that university students offend the senses of old white moderates now.

When I was doing the DEI segment of my sociology and psychology course on being a good ally, one of the fundamental things they taught us was that the rights of the oppressed don't exactly trump your right as a cishet white male to not be offended by their rhetoric.
April 30, 2024 at 7:47 PM
Are they suggesting that? Or are they suggesting that some people are so caught up in the puritanism of not voting for genocide joe that they'll smugly stick their fingers in their ears as trans people cry out warning they'll be added to the mass graves alongside the children in Gaza?
April 30, 2024 at 5:48 PM
Idk man, some people here seem pretty content with the possibility of letting thousands of trans people be genocided if it means not voting for genocide joe.
April 30, 2024 at 5:45 PM
They're selfish for not wanting to be genocided along with people in Gaza?

Be careful who you call a lib, dipshit.

Right. I am sorry if I brought up anything painful from those experiences, having gone through the things you have gone through, you're a brave person and I commend that.
