Loved the book, but heard movie was a dud. I avoided it. Wondering if OP will seek out the charming book?

Thanks for this. Haven’t listened to this in more than a decade, yet find I know the words to every song.

I tried a couple of times, and can’t understand it even with the tutorial. Having said that, same thing was true for Tiles and Letterboxed, and now love both, so maybe try again.

Also, don’t make pico de gallo before putting in your contact lenses. It happened 40 years ago and I still have the pain memory.

Or, look up and enjoy it, whether things are going to be fine or not. It’s more than fine at this instant.

Highly recommend Ivory Vikings, by Nancy Marie Brown. She has a well-researched theory for who carved the chessmen (a woman) and where (Iceland).

It has recently been brought to my attention that a woodblock print that I inherited (2 whooping cranes wading in a stream) is by Ohara Koson. I love this artist. Thank you for sharing the crow.

I have seen all 3 seasons 4 or 5 times. So, more than West Wing, more than M.A.S.H. Recommend watching more than once, for sure, because the level of detail is amazing.

Saw an Astro (could have been Dickie Thon) steal home against Dwight Gooden. Someone was at first. Had never seen a steal of home. Now can’t remember whether Astros won, but it was a memorable moment: more than 15,000 people knew what was happening and one person (Gooden) didn’t.

Thank the National Weather Service, the American Society for Standards and Testing, and your local governments for complying with international building codes. And, of course, luck. We had tornadoes in my neighborhood last weekend. I do not care for them.

As a former practicing attorney (now retired), this makes my heart hurt. It really started with the confirmation of Clarence Thomas. And of course, now we know he’s been on the take the whole time. Thurgood Marshall is rolling.

40+ years ago I took LSD and a boat ride. My skipper told me that the big orange globes on power lines had helium in them to keep them aloft, and were refilled by helicopters. I believed him.
