Love ya Tim, but I believe your youth prevents you from recognizing something critical here: Emotion can be more important than reason. Yes there were tangible gains from caving but they were outweighed by the loss of a Righteous Fight that galvanized the base. That was a shame & missed opportunity.

Respectfully, this argument seems a bit reductive. There are more plausible explanations. I’m not saying our system isn’t corrupted by doners. But to be intellectually honest, shouldn’t we also list the airline dollars going to people who voted Yes? See if there is a true pattern?
