The amount of separate legal cases against Trump from various states is not the fault of the AG. Almost every case against Trump was hindered by Trump appointed judicial and ultimately by SCOTUS. So needing to blame it all on one guy who's powerless to prevent them makes you feel better, then fine.

No, I think blaming him is to miss the entire point of why those cases all came to nothing, and it had nothing to do with speed. His stolen documents case was hindered by a Trump appointed Judge Alileen Canon, and his appointees in SCOTUS declared him immunity for anything done as POTUS.

You don't have to be, the Jan6 committee already decided they were not going to hand over all their evidence, interviews etc until they had completed their televised inquiry, and the DoJ were already working on cases with rioters, and building the stolen documents case, among the NY & Georgia ones.

He's the department head, his job IS to appoint investigators to do the investigatin & co-ordinate cases. And yes, they did investigate Trump, hence the case going to court/SCOTUS brick wall! And if the Dems didnt waste a year withholding evidence for their televised inquiry, it would've been sooner

The BBC have sucked up to the right wing politicians on both sides of the Atlantic to no avail. Trump's lackey Farage, has enjoyed great exposure by the beeb recently, but stayed quiet as a mouse on this one.
