💀🌿 Ika 🌿🦷

An apothecary and herbalist, far from her home...

Ika is a beloved central character in my high-fantasy piracy story, so I clearly had to give her the most intricately-symbolic, complex, impossible-to-replicate-in-a-comics-format clothing design that I could 🌿
Two artworks of Ika - one clothed, one nude. Ika is a thin woman with short hair, which is held behind her head in a bob. A small scar on her cheek descends down her neck, and merges with several other massive, seemingly-unsurvivable scars, which completely cover her right arm, leg, and torso. Among these scars are a massive, shark-like bite mark. In the other artwork, Ika is wearing a kimono, though it is worn with the right side over the left side - a style traditionally reserved for desceased indiviudals. This kimono is embroidered with red spider lilies, and held together with a thick, leather corset belt, which is further secured with a rope that resembles a shimenawa. There are a number of pouches tied to the belt, along with a kogatana. Ika also wears a hare's skull on a pendant around her neck. In the nude fullybody artwork, she is also smoking a hand-rolled cigarette containing an unknown substance.

His ears are elonaged to points, as are his fingernails and teeth, resembling canine claws and fangs. Additionally, as a canine satyr, he has two paws instead of two feet. He wears ragged clothes and wraps, with no accessories aside from a crescent-shaped necklace around his neck. In the top right headshot, Abaykor is swiping that necklace from someone. In the bottom right headshot, Abaykor is wearing a metal mask, reminiscent of a 17th Century German schandmaske, or "shame mask," though his is modified with antelope horns on the head, a bandana covering the mouth, and goggles over the eyes, ultimatley trying to invoke Mad Max's stylized - yet grittily apocalptic - costume design.

🌒🦌 MENEDORA 🏹🌒

Menedora's original concept artwork and clothing design. I'd tell you more about her, but she's the main character of some stories I'm currently working on, so 🤫
Menedora is a young woman with dark skin, a mostly-thin but still-muscular build, and dark, black-brown hair that's braided in the style of a faux-hawk, with the sides of her head shaved. She has some subtle stretch marks, and an inquisitve look in her eye. In the top right is an abstract symbol - an upward-pointed bow and arrow, with a star replacing its arrowhead. Two stars also flank the shaft of the arrow. Menedora wearing an ankle-length, short-sleeved, lace-edged dress with matching, elbow-length archers' gloves. Despite its lace decorations, it looks like an otherwise utilitarian outfit, with high-heeled boots, a bandana tied around the neck, and an archers' quiver attached to a thick, leather belt. Additionally, Menedora is wearing a brooch of the bow-and-arrow symbol mentioned in the previous post.

🌅 TOWARDS NEW DAWNS 🌅

Cressida Coldsteel, recovering alcoholic and reformed street thug, currently walking the Path of Lathander - a mutual aid alliance dedicated to sponsorship, healing, and seeking out new sunrises, wherever they may lie.
A Dwarven woman leans against a metalsmith's hammer, almost exactly her height. She has a beard, and is wearing ragged commoner or workmans' clothes, which have been patched in some places. Cressida also wears bracers, which have been wrapped in bandages, along with sturdy boots and a tool belt. There is a canteen and a loop of rope at her hip. Contrasting her rugged appearance is her face, which is warm and welcoming, and decorated with eyelash extensions and winged eyeliner. A hand-crafted metal medallion is attached to her hammer. It is the symbol of Lathander - a trial leading into a sunrise on the horizon.

After being chased off the trails, the party is beset by strange, misshapen beasts, and Apha's attempted reconciliation with a member of their troop sours after the worst of her paranoid thoughts are proven true. Fear the Fey, and all its kin.

This page is covered in notes on Basileus' character design, and the ways in which in draws inspiration from various creatures such as fossas, grebes, and smews. A beady-eyed, chimeric creature. Its eye and tongue are a brilliant gold.

🥀🩸 Bergljót, the Weyrsbane 🩸🥀

An infamous warrior queen in
@peripendrake.bsky.social's world of Calibreon. Noted for her unorthodox application of weyrsbane - a poison that can fatally interfere with shapeshifting - to her army's weapons during their wars against the Weyr.
Bergljót the Weyrsbane, a middle-aged cat-woman, stands at the ready in chainmail armor, a sword in hand. There is a splash of blood across her face. Her cloak, which is dyed a rich, royal violet, is held in place with a brooch and a sprig of wolfsbane. Behind Bergljót are three items - a well-worn iron helmet, a golden crown, and a shield.
