Yes - mapmaker’s daughter. Was I born able to orient myself or just trained to do it without realizing?

My registration was corrected and I voted. And Mark Carney won!! Bravo. The next step? Winning the Canadian Federal election and the war against Donald John’s threats. Carney - “In trade, as in hockey, we will win!”

But I finally got the “good to vote” email yesterday and voting was easy. And it felt great!! Love that we can rank our choices.

I would expect you have to pay. We have some shots for free (Covid, Flu) and some we have to pay for, like RSV, Shingrix and vaccines for travel

Same with me

I'm at the hospital for a follow up visit right now. They brought me in early (no wait), patients and staff are all conscientiously wearing masks (flu season) and all I'll have to pay is...nothing. Thankful for our BC health care coverage.

Like we do in the UK and Canada (federally)...and in our Canadian provincial legislatures.

Incredible! My great great grandmother was born in Gibraltar in 1871 - an amazing coincidence (after reading the sampler)

Enjoy the research! After resisting a visit to Gibraltar for many years, I finally realized that I was scared to see the world of my 5th great grandmother erased. But when we walked the back streets, I realized that 1790 and 2024 coexist. An intense experience.

I made sure I took photos of all the locations where my ancestors lived in Gibraltar - and walked where they walked. One of my ancestor's townhouses on Main Street is now the Swarovski store. Some interior courtyards look unchanged over 200 years.

Are you one of the Smith family (Engineers from NE UK) who moved to Porto then Gibraltar? I'm related to so many Gib Smiths...#genealogy

By "my records" I mean Gibraltar St Mary The Crowned records that were written by long ago priests. Easy to read, easy to translate. Just like raiding a candy shop!

Published Hebridean (Lawson) croft records for my husband's family list a 62 year old woman giving birth, and multiple women marrying and birthing before puberty. Sigh. For respite, I research my own family records in Gibraltar that meticulously list parents, grandparents, notes in margins. Beauty.
