my favourite sketches from the leopards I've done 💖 I'm a momma's [they], so mother and cub big cats make me sentimental
two pencil sketches of a mother leopard and her cub. the left shows the cub popping out of the grass to playfully chew on it's mother's cheek as she lays down. the second is the mother resting her chin on the cub's head, they both look comfortable and happy. they could be nuzzling each other. when scanned for posting the tone of the paper was edited to a warm light yellow and the pencils are a dark desaturated purple.

leopard studies!! I love big cats. and small cats. and medium cats.
Sketchbook page of two leopards, one is a full boy of a leopard walking, but I didn't draw it's spots. The other is a bust from the shoulders up, of a leopard yawning and showing it's large canine teeth. This one does have rough spots sketched in. These were done with pencil, and when scanned to share digitally I edited the colours to be a warm reddish brown.

some older studies of horses, one of my favourite animals to draw for many years now!

This horse has a short dark mane and tail. Both horses have harnesses on and the drawing is done in a sepia tone.

Surrounding him in a circle are various sketches of him seated, notably with dainty little paws and usually tucked up like a little ball. In one of the sketches he has a flower crown. Five traditional pen sketches of a domestic rabbit done in purple and pink. She is laying down like a loaf of bread in all 5 of them. The bottom left and right are silly simple doodles with very few lines. The top left and right are more realistic with hatching done to show her colour and shadin. The sketch in the center is the most neatly done, in pink, showing her dewlap flopped over her little front feet as she loafs quite loafily.

Archer 🌱 my most recent pet portrait. I loved drawing him and his flowers. If you know me personally, you might have thought this was Mylo-- it was very bittersweet for me to work on this. Archer brought me some secondhand peace, I can only hope his person feels the same ♡

y'all like rats? 👀 I haven't kept any for a couple years because they each take so much of my heart. here's some memorial pieces I drew for myself of just a few of my past boys.

Reno & Rude the brother duo, and my sensitive guy Wolfgang <3
a grey rex rat and an agouti rat hold each other close with soft gentle expressions. they are posed similar to a yin and yang symbol. a white rat with a blonde/orange hood with a diamond on his forehead curls up in a comfortable ball position, his tail wrapped under his body and his eyes closed gently. his little hands are resting next to his cheek.
