The animation is incredibly detailed, the violence sometimes shocking. The style and shaders are so realistic, that if you squint it often feels like live action. At the end of one particularly intense bout, the whole theater started clapping as though they'd been watching a real fight.

It might have gone up near the end, but most his of term saw negative wage growth versus inflation. I think it's pretty fair to assume most people attributed that (falsely) to his presidency. This economic pain is supported anecdotally by everyone i know living paycheque to paycheque

NeZha Reborn on Netflix really blew my mind. I have a hard time imagining North America 3D animation producing something that original, or frankly, that violent for such a high budget. Check it out if you can!

I'm really enjoying learning gouache but it is such an emotional roller coaster to paint with, you will go from Bad to Good to Bad Again but In a Different Way, to Good if You Squint in like the same ten minutes

Almost impossible to overstate how big a deal it is for the industry that Sinners is printing money. There's a real path here to pulling film back to auteurs out of the late stage studio system.

Doing what's right is often unpopular. What is the point of trying to win an election at all costs if you have no principles, no ideas, no moral compass, or any real vision about how to make life better for the people electing you?
