Once again, the Russophile Trump is emulating Russia, in this case the Russian Victory Day (see Moscow "Victory Day" Parade on May 9). He has always mocked and showed contempt for veterans as well as active service members, so wanting to remove any honoring of Veterans should not be a surprise.
