I was away from Cecil County last week and managed to snap this shot with just an iPhone and a tripod. Nature is truly amazing! ✨

At least the current radar confirms there currently is a bit of a donut hole along I-95 for rain and I am not just imagining things. Should fill in as the day goes on.

It’s certainly muggy, but the nearby corn is certainly ‘enhancing’ my stations dew point / humidity reading. I’m a bit skeptical of an 83° dew point reading this afternoon. 😅🌡️ 🌽

Since Dec 2013, my 4” rain gauge has serve well for daily #CoCoRaHS observations. After 11½ years though, it was time for an upgrade to the more accurate Tropo gauge. Looking forward to another decade of rain observations.

Just spotted a Periodic Cicada here in Cecil County Maryland. Probably one from Brood X that failed counting to 17 as I doubt this area overlaps with any of this year’s broods. Anyone else seeing any?

While we have been seeing some snow here in Cecil County Maryland, I did some checking and the last time the northern part of the county (where I observe) saw more than 5" of snow in one day was Jan-24-2016. That was almost 9 years ago!

About fell out of my chair when I saw this post by NWS Philadelphia about the possibility of snow this weekend. Lots of chatter out there, but right now no one knows what is going to happen. Knowing how winter storms have been the last few years, the 0" part of the range sounds reasonable to me.
