Consecrated Sphinx, Teferi's Protection, and especially Opposition Agent are definitely pushing the limit of what I would feel comfortable playing while still having fun. Teferi's being a go to card that's kind of unfun but not extreme, while Sphinx and Agent ONLY if I'm getting silly with it.

Rhystic Study and Smothering Tithe. Oh boy. Those are just not fun to play against, or even with as the one benefiting from them, without rule 0 errata. So why do I feel that way about them, and not about Sol Ring or Ancient Tomb, two equally game warping cards if they come out early?

Which leads me to the three GC's I swore to never use: Rhystic, Smothering, and Thassa's. I do love alternate wincons, I like the idea of Lab Man or Toad or Triskaidekaphile, even Simic Ascendancy, but Oracle feels uniquely easy and unfun, but is that me being unfair? A hipster?

Drannith Magistrate is one I have interesting but mixed feelings about. I like the idea of silver bullet cards, shutting down particular strategies like impulse draw or reanimation, but "lockdown the command zone" feels like a bridge to far...but is it? What makes me feel like this is to oppressive?
