The syllabus is publicly available—as dictated by Texas law. It is a really impressive document. Each day includes supporting scholarly articles and clearly documents what will be discussed. It is a model of academic integrity and reflects current academic conversations in YA literature.

I really like how Well-Grounded points to next steps for checking credibility and reading laterally. It seems like a natural extension of the SIFT Method!

I’m a community college instructor who works with high school instructors who teach our concurrent enrollment courses / AP courses. One recently told me he just assigns “The Awakening” because no matter the test question, it works. No need to do anything else.
