It's a harsh irony that those who stormed the Capitol and endangered democracy are often given second chances, while others are treated as dangerous criminals simply because of their immigration status.

While ICE focuses on deporting immigrants, many of the individuals involved in the January 6th insurrection who clearly posed a threat to national security have been allowed to reintegrate into society.

It seems there's a double standard at play when considering who is labeled as a threat to public safety.
