That's fair. I think I used Grammarly once or twice when it was relatively new. I remember its suggestions were often awkward and terrible, which is why I never used it again. I am just very protective of the em-dash because its been accused of being an AI indicator, which is wrong imo.

Please stop blaming the em-dash. It is a perfectly good form of punctation. People who have a decent foundation in grammar know how to use it properly. Besides, are you certain it's not merely Emily Dickinson come back to haunt us all?
