I find American politics very different to UK politics. In the UK if our candidate loses, we blame the candidate, regroup, and rethink on how to be different on the next election. In America you guys seem to choose to double down on the candidate, blame the voters, and change nothing.

Make the tarrif higher then lol. The point is that no trade should be done with undemocratic countries. If the government isn't elected, then they have no right to make trade deals in the first place.

You need to learn from the Germans. They relied on Russia for gas. Then as soon as Russia got angry at Germany for supporting a democratic country like Ukraine, Russia turned off the gas supply. That was a big mistake. It's also a big mistake that the west outsources all our manufacturing to China.
