A thought.....the No Kings protests abroad are clearly in support of the US, but what if there is more to it. What if this is just the beginning of a global movement to shift money and power out of the wealthy, the zealots, and the oligarchs?

I dont agree with what Schumer or Dems are doing. But I think this was a way to preserve the government. Without the budget, Elmo and Felon would have free rein to fire more workers and advance their dictatorial agenda and destruction of domestic tranquillity

Is the 23% that use Medicaid the same 23% that voted for the people doing it? Cause if that venn is a circle, pass the popcorn.

I am reading a series by Maria Grce that is revisionist Jane Austen. With dragons.
One is called a fairy dragon bc they are small, bright and are seen as birds by those that can't "hear" dragons.
Behold, my people, a fairy dragon. If you see a bird, then you definitely can't 'hear' dragons.

I own a small biz in a college town and lots of small biz owners are like "hey we get it if you are participating in this, we will be open, you are welcome to come hang out, we accept cash if you do want to shop, etc." More solidarity and visible support than anything.

Given the uncertainty of inflation and the markets, it may be a good year to reduce your federal tax withholdings for TY2025. This will free up some cash for your use, instead of lending those funds to a government with a distressed credit risk rating and tenuous sovereign risk.
