After the slight disappointment at the end of book 2, I was concerned that Galaxy in Flames was going to fall to the same issues.

However, Galaxy in Flames sticks the landing.

Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson. He’s my current favourite author outside of some classics, like Tolkien, le Guin etc.

I’m shotgunning books at the minute to satiate my current obsession with #Warhammer40k lore whilst also working through #WindandTruth.

Man, oh man, this was a great read! In sure I’ll follow this up with more thoughts when i have time!

I’m actually getting time to write today! It only took me nearly a week of getting life in order to sit down and do it. But I’m here.

I’m 30,000 words in to my Fantasy novel Hellheart and it’s shaping up nicely. I’m taking the time today to firm up the plot and structure and having fun doing it!

Read in Progress: Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobbs.

I'm enjoying this book. It does feel formulaic and I have not been wowed by the world building or the magic of the world "the skill".

I like our main character, but the rags to riches story is quite slow paced.

A somewhat #rarebook I own is The Survivor and Other Stories by H.P. Lovecraft and August Derleth. Only 2,000 copies were produced. They are stories and concepts by HPL found after his death and completed by Derleth.

Up to Chapter 8 this morning and I'm enjoying it so far! Admittedly, it took me a couple of chapters to appreciate the narrator, but he has grown on me.

Just finished Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio. The first book of the #suneater series.

I read this following a bunch of hype, and honestly, this was fairly mid for me. I don't like the viewpoint character and find the rest of the cast pretty forgettable.
