It was not fun. The type of hateful things that you read on social media are exactly the type of hateful things that are said to family members that don't conform, but worse. And when when it's followed by the red-faced patriarch ordering you to do something... No one wants this.

I guess everyone has their own take on it. To me, I saw it as foreshadowing. Also, I really enjoyed all the V-words.

Not uncommon in cases where there's sexual assault. The victim is both traumatized and ashamed, wanting to purge the memory.
