Right now, sure. They've had a lot of success, in part due to new media they've been able to make. I want them to keep making it! That means supporting the core product, which for GW is the minis and rulebook. That said, always make your own terrain. GW terrain is beautiful, but way too expensive.

You totally could, and some people do. My only concern is that if enough people do that, GW goes under. Im perfectly willing to buy the official kit and deck it out in third party bits. I do perfectly understand those that just want to print them themselves though. The hobby is expensive!

I love using 3d printed bits on my marines, but I've never found a 3d printed full body alternative to them that I've ever really liked. GW has the best space marine design sense, IMHO.
