We should be taking an approach of erring on the side of caution + 1st do no harm

This approach is baffling; why advocate for less protective gear when we *have* the more protective PPE? Why even flirt with these risks? 😖

and for the record, ain’t no way I am going to follow downgraded protection knowing full well that appropriate PPE is available but the powers that be decided (from their offices) “it’s fine“ to needlessly narrow the safety window

A retrospective “oops” won’t bring me back if I’ve died of Ebola

It was such a stark reminder that: 1) failures of preceding, ongoing pandemics (HIV, SARS2, and others) are not only being perpetuated but expanded upon (😵‍💫😣), and 2) no one else cares as much about my safety and health as much as me (AKA: I am expendable, *even if not replaceable*)

A few weeks ago I learned about the downgrade in PPE for suspected hemorrhagic fever, and I thought it was a *joke* 😖🫠🤢 (because clearly *no one in their right mind would do such a thing, right???*)
