I fully agree with you. That shouldn't happen

I get it. I had a year like that. But, I also had some good results and consider it great practice. Even if it can be humbling.
Hopefully you give it another shot next year.

Nice to see you come out. The ice has been pretty good
November 15, 2025 at 4:46 PM
Details, why are you losing your ice for so long?

Honest mistake if you usually went to KOD

Sounds like there's a story to this

You've struck a chord and it's resonating 🙂

Unfortunately, this is a learning moment and a warning to the rest of us

And I support both an Israeli and a Palestinian state. I just have a hard time seeing how they can bridge the divide that is exists today.

A small step, forward when others didn't.

It doesn't attack the Israeli people, but singles out some of the hardest advocates of actions taken by the current government.

A wake up call, there can be follow thru if lines are crossed.

Maybe it works, maybe not. Next steps will speak volumes

As much as I enjoy a fresh Scalzi post, I will enjoy one even more when you're rested and fresh as well. Embrace the downtime.

Thoroughly enjoy your books. I saw one of your posts when I joined bluesky, liked it, and decided to follow you. Since then, you've never given me a reason to stop following. I look forward to what you have to say, and how you say it.

I look forward to seeing the details and any weasel words that might be included.

If reports are correct. The American share isn't based on past assistance and Ukrainians made an ok deal.

Might not be military. But it implies continuing support.

Not bad for not having any cards...

We tap brooms in Sarnia, Drambuie for the piper
March 28, 2025 at 4:08 AM
I did hear it called stacking brooms a few times, but that was rare.

When I curled in the Maritimes the third was commonly called the mate. I think mate is/was used in some other areas as well.

Wayne and Shuster, I love that comedy sketch and use this quote sometimes

Descendant Machine, then Ember is War. All the covers are good, but these two catch my attention more.

I can't argue with that and I'm sure he would own it if he was around to ask. But I also believe she wasn't his first choice

Canada, our current government promised everything to get in, and stay in.
I've voted for all of the major parties (and minor ones (rhino)). No allegiance, just like honesty and something that comes close to what I envision.

And I favour principle over pandering, at least I know what I'm getting

Point, but there is a lag between money being given and the final product. Also the aid isn't just directed to the military.

I think a lot of the problem was the west expected Ukraine to fall, and when they didn't; couldn't/wouldn't move fast enough to provide decicive support. Pick either one

As an outsider, from the get go I thought he might have been persuaded (leaned on) to pick Palin against his better judgement.

Sometimes parties so want to win that they throw principle aside (no reflection on McCain).

IMO We're dealing with the aftermath in my country and both sides are Quilty
