Every time I hear someone refer to an annoying middle class white woman as a Karen, I have to laugh.
This is my neighbour’s name. She has been known to call 911 on the kids playing in the green belt behind us..

Sydney is really growing on me as comedic relief.

I can't help but feel the Boebert story is a lesson: Judge not, lest ye be judged.
As a deeply cynical human, I suspect that aspect of the lesson will be lost on those most in need of it. As always.

I'm feeling a tad nostalgic for the days I would pick up my flute and play a bunch of blues tunes until I felt better about whatever.
I've been out of practice for decades, and just today, donated that flute to the local school. She's gone to a good home.

I've been noticing that when I type fast, then read back over what I've written, roughly half the time it's not what my brain was saying to my fingers. (And not in the "hit between keys" way, either.)
I mean word substitutions that I think I hit the right keys for what I meant, not what I got.
