I don't know if I have any more to say about this than I did then.
Today's actions are the direct result of 5 years of evangelizing hate. The signs for this have been there since the beginning and while today's events don't come as a surprise, they are no less shocking. I appreciate the spirit in which many people are saying that this isn't who we are, but I do not agree with them. Too often this is exactly who we are. By not confronting this element and addressing injustice, we cannot move past it. There is no bothsidesism or whataboutism that can compare to this moment in history. Dissent is patriotic, but treason is not. Every person who "like that he speaks his mind" or dismissed the concerns of people who fears that violence would happen should reflect on how that behavior assisted in getting us to this exact spot.
