Trying this out because Twitter can get bent.

Whistle Solos should be in every song.

Held together by tension and sticks.

Over 30 years old.
Am I getting “better” at NES Tetris? Depends on your definition. Am I getting more consistent? That… also depends. But at least I am not getting worse.

Found a Makho Slate in the wild, a relatively rare SP mod, but man that price tag is rough.

I recently got a camera whose photos come out looking exactly how I want them color-wise, but after a few museum trips it was obvious that I needed to funnel as much light into it as possible. Thankfully I think this new lens will do just that. Comically large compared to the other two lenses I had.

It's been a hell of a long time, but I am finally getting back to how good I used to be at NES Tetris a decade and a half ago. 418227 from a level 12 start isn't the best but it's damn good.

Oh my gosh I cannot express enough how happy I am with the one I got. Such a happy little dragon, printed on striking green paper, plus a bonus corrupt transfer version I genuinely adore, that I know I am gonna do SOMETHING with. Thank you again to @hadleycrumbs.bsky.social for their hard work!

Took a romp around Pittsburgh with my new ( to me ) Olympus E-300 and also went to a single day of some convention idk.

Idk about you but I just got a new personal best of 4.87 million points in Tetris DX on the Game Boy.

Is it controversial to have this as a favorite film? I mean the amazing soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is absolutely part of it, but I am a sucker for slow burn dramas. And this absolutely fits the bill. Andrew Garfield and Jessie Eisenberg play off of each other wonderfully here.

Let's be honest, Iron Man 1 is a fun time, it has some of my favorite actors in it, I don't have to think that much about the plot or the story or anything complex. It's just Tony Stark building a robot suit in a cave with a box of scraps. And I love it for that.

Oh man, Primer is one hell of a ride. I have seen it a dozen times and honestly still catch things on repeated watches I hadn't before. It's probably the most "serious" movie about time travel I have ever seen, super well executed and takes itself as realistically as you can imagine.

First off, and the most recent, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. I could re-watch this film every week if I wanted to, and not tire of it. Ben's performance as Walter is believable and down to earth, the music is honestly perfect, and overall I think it's a wonderful lovely film.

This is a perfect example of why I am both so nostalgic for the old Apple products I remember, and so irate at the path they slowly took themselves down.

( and yes I am just reposting my own TikTok to here lol )

Did you know that on March 16th '06 I signed up for YouTube with the username "cdi"? Less than 2 years later YouTube claimed I never had an account at all in spite of uploading content and getting emails about comments until late '07. Churchill Downs stole my YouTube account and I have proof!

Honestly I could include all of Dessa’s catalog.. That being said this copy of “Parts Of Speech” also holds the spot well. With a more developed and assured sound, Dessa fires off lyrics and melodies that sink their teeth into you and leave marks for life. Tracks 2 and 9 stick with me the most.

“No No No” by Beirut has no right being as short as it is, and yet I don’t feel as though it could give any more. An album dealing with the loss of self and others, this came through my life at a critical point. And honestly shaped how I interact with music to this day. Tracks 1 and 6 are standouts.

“[WITH_TEETH]” by Nine Inch Nails is my favorite album by them, and a pillar of Industrial Rock for me. Trent’s songwriting is back on point, and sounding much closer to Pretty Hate Machine this album is a lot easier to digest. I recommend a whole listen-through on this, at LEAST tracks 1 and 11-13.

This one is easy. “Alive 2007” by Daft Punk is one of the best live albums of all time, and marks a pinnacle of their music for me. Combining the energy of their earlier releases with the more mellowed out beats to follow. The final track as well as track eight are absolutely incredible.

Just in case you, or anyone else was curious about the Hold Your Horses #tote, it can absolutely hold a 1990’s era pay phone.

“Megalithic Symphony” by AWOLNATION! God I love this album so much. I found it, as I imagine a ton of folks did, by the song “Sail” ( from a cool animation I should share ). I listened to it during my whole trip to PAX East 2012. I genuinely think the closing track is the best song of the 2010s

“Bones” by Son Lux. This is a strange one, experimental post rock, this is the first album of theirs as a trio. And there’s a LOT of ideas packed into just under 40 minutes. I recommend tracks 2, 4, and 7!

I take a lot of photos, but am really behind in getting them developed. Anyway, here is one of my favorites. Taken with an EXA•Ia using Kentmere 400 film.

Saw the other one floating around, and I might do that later. But saw this one first. So, go ahead?

One of my favorite places to be, and a place I want to go back and spend more time, was Bend Oregon, it was pleasant and the high desert was really something. That being said, Columbus is a little strange, but I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
