Our final presentation is from Nick Almond, CEO of Factory Labs, on London VOICE. An attempt to create a community LLM controlled and owned by the people.

We now move on to Simon Wallace CTO at Suffrago, introducing their approach to using generative AI to build next generation polling.

Our third Lighting Talk is from Sebastian Stein, asking how we can ensure AI systems are citizen-centric. They need to be:
citizen-aware, citizen-beneficial, citizen-sensitive, citizen-auditable, and citizen-owned.

Next up, Mbang Young examines the issues of data security in the AI present, from Syri to Deepseek. Who do we trust government or private companies? Who is control of this data?

Kicking off our AI and Democracy Knowledge Exchange event with @richardgomer.bsky.social discussing participatory visions for the AI city. How can we ensure that the adoption of AI has a citizen-centric rather than a corporate-centric design?
