Billionaires are the reason we can't have nice things

Imagine what could happen if society's goal was to make life better for everyone, if the goal was to avoid universal suffering,

The wealthiest individuals are directly responsible for most of the global warming. Politicians have an undeniable moral responsibility to impose regulation and taxes on the rich. The tax revenue should be used to address climate injustice and economic inequality.

We need to heavily regulate and tax the billionaire class! It's the only thing they're afraid of and the only survival chance for the rest of the world.

Europe Could Lose What Makes It Great
— [Foreign Affairs](www.foreignaffairs.com/europe/europ...)

Will Europe stay strong or cave in to the extortionist demands of Trump?

"To satisfy the Lockean Proviso, asset-based wealth should be as open to any ‘levy’ as labour-based income."

Private wealth is no longer justifiable without a levy that would redistribute a big part of it as a Citizen's Dividend or a UBI. (It would also avoid fascist dictatorships.)

Trump is a narcissist and doesn't know what a tarrif or trade deficit is.

"In every interaction, no matter how trivial or insignificant, someone has to win and someone has to lose. And Trump, as we all know, is a winner."

He thinks that deficits are a loss and tarrifs are fees paid to the U.S.

David Graeber: "To save the world, we're going to have to stop working"

He proposes 3 things, "for starters":

1. Eliminate pointless jobs (work)

2. Stop building for the sake of building (construction)

3. Force companies to make products that last (planned obsolescence)

And they're not done yet. Billionaires want still more wealth. They want EVERYTHING!

"Billionaires now hold more wealth than 99% of ALL countries.

That means, according to Oxfam figures, just 3,000 people (the 0.000036%) have more wealth than 99% of the planet – around eight billion people."

This cartoon was from 2020! A lot of people voted for more of this. But we shouldn't blame them. The class war is real. We should unite against the billionaire class.

A UBI may have just become the quickest and most effective tool to fight fascism and avoid another world war.

"if we want to avoid the catastrophic outcome of globalization’s first collapse [WW I], [...] we need to address one of the fundamental byproducts of globalization, which is inequality"

We need a better definition of "work". Doing someone else's work by renting out your labor is "employment". Achieving your own life goals by creative means is "work". Yet people are coerced into employment by an outdated value system. An UBI would break this self made prison.

As a human species we need to learn to be active in other ways than merely economic productivity. A UBI can help achieve that.

"The damage at 3C will be so great that governments will be unable to provide financial bailouts and it will be impossible to adapt to many climate impacts"

So at least 59% of the population should welcome a form of universal basic income so they can meaningfully participate in society instead of living paycheck to paycheck. It's become more urgent than ever!

Even the end of the world is big business

"A 3 degree warming scenario, the analysts determined, could more than double the growth rate of the $235 billion cooling market every year, from 3 percent to 7 percent until 2030."

We now witness in the US the beginning of Gestapo style public abductions in broad daylight, as part of what Ernst Fraenkel described in his 1940 book "The Dual State" as the "prerogative state", where ordinary law doesn't apply.
