I was a teacher for 20+ years and now I do science communications, mostly about engineering. I love my dogs, my family, and the Buffalo Bills. Also, I am 41 states into my goal to run a half marathon in all 50 of the United States.
Schools need to do so much better than that. My eighth grade teacher had me read Native Son by Richard Wright and it changed my life. Exposure matters.
