I did think I’d still be wearing cross country ski clothes on my bike in May but I’m glad to have the option!

And the rain continues. It’s not particularly handy for my roof project or for biking.

I abandoned my Madshus skin skis when I perhaps should not have. I found new skin inserts from Madshus and installed them. Comparing them with the inserts I removed, it is no wonder I was not satisfied with their grip performance as the fibers were short and lacked the one way grain.

Signs of the old alpine ski area from one point. Looking down an old lift line through the A frame that carried the cables and towing devices. I’m not sure if they were T bars or chairs. Looking up the trail you can see a slight jump before it crosses the Nordic trail. Then the culvert under it.

Sketchy skiing today. Icy crust kept me balanced over my skis. Double poling seemed the safest. The slightest hill was too steep. Makes me appreciate snow!
