This is the effect of no longer having a common enemy to bring you together. They were only united as a minority against the Left now that they have all the power and no excuse for their failure anymore. They are eating their own because no one wants to take blame or be accountable for their lies.

Then after the midterm when they win to make them permanent when they get power back. It's like they love the idea of showing a fight than face reality and admit they really can't do anything and need the people to return power to them so they can get things done. Mamdani is smartly doing it right.

Dems are minority with Zero power army the moment and need Republican support to get any of their bills passed and signed into law. They only have 2 options work with Republicans or win the mid terms where they have more power. It's crazy not to help the American people in the short term with a 1 yr

I've read so many delusional comments on here and it's hard trying to understand if you guys realized how bill works. She is right in this case. Regardless of how you feel personally. 3 years is never going to pass the House, Senate, or get signed by Trump. 1 year probably will.

Yea I get it. Prop 50 just gives the governor the power to use the new maps until 2030. I did state that I don't think Cali will do it though. It's just an option if Texas did theirs is what I was trying to relay. Newsom is a smart guy

Interesting, well that's a great option to have. That was how Newsom explained it when he announced it though. Regardless it's great for Dems.

I think that prop 50 would go into effect if Texas went through with theirs. So I don't think Cali will do it if Texas is not allowed.

The hardest thing for any person in life is to admit they were wrong and try to prove it to people who may or may not ever accept them. I would advise you to just stay true to yourself and who you are. Trying to prove things to people is a waste of time. Imo, I honestly think you are sincere.

Why are you guys so hell bent on shitting on people when it's irrelevant. A lot of people here are too emotional to see when things are in their favor regardless where it comes from. Victory is won on strategy not emotions. Take the W's however they come.

This is exactly what Dems should not do, they need to let the chips fall where they fall. No need to inject themselves and unite them again. The Dems problem has always been trying to police every thing the Republicans do which always ends up benefitting the GOP in the end.

I think Jasmine Crockett gave them a playbook the other day when she talked about why the Dems never released the files. These people weren't smart enough to create an active investigation to prevent the files from being released on their own. They will take any edge they can though

I'm not aware of civics not being taught in school. I have an 11 year old middle schooler that knows about the branches of government etc. I'm not sure what the OP or the SCJ is talking about honestly. If people are not retaining it is a totally different story

It really just sounds like half the country is uninterested in learning anything about America or the systems they are screaming at. In the age where information is at your finger tips "all the time" there are zero excuses for remaining ignorant. Blaming others is a cop out.

I agree, I'm the same and people here sometimes don't like it but idgaf. The problem I had with this whole thing was the gaslighting. They knew they would never get Trump to sign a bill that included the ACA but gassed the base anyway and still doing it right now.

That's my question, how were Dems going to get Trump to sign anything on the ACA when his goal was to let it die? No bill bipartisan or not with ACA language( unless veto proof) would've survived so what was the point in the whole exercise in the first place?

I still haven't heard one Person explain to me if they did get a deal on ACA premiums how they planned on getting the Cheeto guy to sign it and not veto it. So many people I know were financially wrecked for this nonsense. I just can't anymore with the political BS. The GOP are evil as hell

Dems need to focus on 2026 midterms, this was a great show of strength,fight and solidarity but they still are the minority until they can flip the midterms. The only hand they have at the moment is limited to shutting the government down in the Senate. WIN THE MIDTERMS is Priority 1.

Full campaign in effect to get people behind nuking the filibuster so they can have full control with no checks of power in place to stop them. Their tactic has always been to find a way to blame the left as the reason they need to do something they want to do. Same playbook over and over.

The only people benefitted from this were corporations because they can ship and transport cheaper but then pass the extra cost of Tariffs to the consumer to pay. So it's cheaper for them but more expensive for everyday people. Smoke and mirrors always with these guys.
