Today is Native Women's Equal Pay Day! ✊ It's unacceptable: Native women earn just 58¢ for every dollar a non-Hispanic white man makes. This gap fuels hardship & undermines safety. Economic security IS safety. Let's demand equity now!

Native women working hard to provide for their families are earning just 53 cents for every dollar earned by non-Hispanic white men. For some Tribal nations, the wage gap is even wider, underscoring the deep inequity in our economy.

Native women have always worked twice as hard to be seen half as much. Our strength builds nations, yet our labor and leadership remain undervalued. It’s time our work—and our worth—are honored in full.

Native women deserve more than survival — we deserve equity, safety, and respect. For too long, our work has been undervalued and our voices overlooked. Even with higher education and advanced degrees, we are still underpaid.
