I think this, in part, needs to be seen as a backlash to decades of failing to tax wealth properly in the UK.
It doesn’t make the economics add up, but it’s an understandable emotional reaction to a tax system which doesn’t meaningfully tax wealth except upon death (and even then, with loopholes).

Since the election almost all the vote movement has been within these blocs rather than between them. The centre/left bloc vote is rising because a lot of Lab24 voters who had been saying "don't know" are now saying "Green".
