Sonic 06. Considered one of the worst games ever made but I’ve played through it multiple times, and definitely think it’s terrible like everyone else, and also yet I still don’t hate the game like everyone else. I have fun with it for the most part. I only hate specific things in the game.

Misinformation regarding this movie to get as many people to watch it as possible. If you’re wondering why agent stone is nowhere to be mentioned here it’s because he’s no more important than Tom or Maddie, or Wade, or Commander Walters. Also we can fake knock a point off for no Commander Towers🥲

Anyone who is saying they stuck true to the adventure 2 story is definitely either involved in the current hype, not wanting to stand out from the crowd, or hasn’t played adventure 2 ever before. Not saying that’s a bad thing glad you’re happy with this movie just don’t go around spreading

5/10. The second is a 4/10. And the first is a 2/10. Absolutely thought it was garbage. I’d say if you love this movie franchise, or love seeing Sonic gain mainstream recognition again then absolutely go see this. If you’re anything like me, and purely love the games, and comics then don’t.

Acting like the character I know and love. Tails actually feels like Tails here. The same pitfalls with Eggman exist but why change something that’s obviously working for them. Until the third movie. This third one is definitely the best in a franchise I definitely can say I’m not a fan of. Shadow is absolutely the highlight in this movie, and they’re definitely leaning more into the games elements here which I absolutely appreciate. Sonic is actually for the most part

The music being overly generic doesn’t really help matters either. Just reeks of corporate marketing. I was surprised to hear Green Hill Zone from mania in the first movie but that’s pretty much the only time I can think of where they use any samples from the amazing soundtracks of the games.

There’s no menace in him. There’s no moment where I take him seriously at all because every line out of his mouth just reeks of overacting to be a cartoon character despite the fact he’s a live action character for these movies. It even is a detriment to this third one when there’s two of him.

But only adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog. I think there’s a few moments where I like him but overall he just leans way too far into the slapstick comedy aspect of what Jim Carey’s known which definitely makes the character less intimidating to anyone who isn’t an actual child.

EggMan is such a mixed bag for me in this movie franchise in general. I like Jim Carrey as an actor but why on earth was he picked to be Eggman in a live action movie. I think he really leans into the Jim Carey stereotypes for this role which I find doesn’t fit any other version of this character

Where I can definitely see why because that’s the version of the character most people would know doesn’t mean I like it, but I understand why it’s done.

Tails I felt really leaned into the adventure 1, 2, and forces jokes where he’s super overly reliant on Sonic to a point where almost every sentence out of his mouth has his name in it even when he’s directly talking to him. Knuckles I think leans more into the “meta” era/ X version

The second one is definitely a slight improvement but I wouldn’t say it’s good either. I find Sonic’s characterization in the movie to still be way to far from the version I’ve loved my whole life, but he’s growing into that version over time which I can respect as a Spider-Man fan.

I felt everything I liked about Sonic as a character was wiped away for a generic kids show protagonist with live action characters, and jokes that showed me I definitely wasn’t involved in the demographic for the movie. “No brainer, it’s meant for kids”

It practically had nothing to do with them. It was just Alvin and the chipmunks but Sonic’s turn. I don’t think I’m wrong but I also don’t think I’ve given these movies an absolutely fair chance with my initial thoughts. The first one just flat out sucks to me no question.
