Super excited to share the cover of this forthcoming open access book, Everyday Welfare in Modern British History. I have a chapter in it on telephone helplines from the 1960s, building conceptually from the workshops for this book & spending time in 2022 at the HEX Centre in Tampere, Finland.

The election was announced 24 hours ago and the Labour Party have already sent at least three emails asking me for money. Kind of think that frequency of ask is not on. If it was a charity, you could report them to the fundraising regulator for stuff like this. #votewinner

I haven't said "hi" on this sparkly new (to me) platform yet.

But I saw that "sicknote culture" speech and went into rage-rant mode and checked here to see where people were at.

So I guess that means "hi" and WTAF? Where's the collective eye rolling of all the welfare historians happening today?
