This week, the IEA & Ember Energy released 2 very encouraging reports about global clean power generation. The Ember report found that global power demand increased in the 1st half of 2025, & the increase in solar & wind power more than met that demand growth.

The US Energy Information Administration is projecting that 93% of the new power generation capacity we'll add this year will be renewables. The expected mix is 52% solar, 29% batteries, 12% wind, and 7% gas. Outlook for next year is not as rosy.
