The attempts to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protections Bureau continue. On 12/6, @riseeconomy, @woodstockinstitute, and @justeconomy filed a lawsuit to challenge acting head of CFPB, Russell Vought, regarding attempts to close the CFPB.

🏠 WIN: HUD Drops CoC Program NOFO
HUD dropped the Continuum of Care Program Notice of Funding Opportunity 12/8 but still "reserved the right to issue yet another." The lawsuit over this was initiated by a coalition of non profits and local governments, inc. the National Low Income Housing Coalition.

HR 3131 - How to Advocate

HR 3131 (Community Service Block Grant reauthorization) is still in the House, so you have time to reach out to your Representatives! We need to make our voices heard to reauthorize CSBG funding--otherwise we will have ZERO dollars coming from CSBG in FY2026.
