"Thrilled to share this new mural by MFA Comics alumni Kayan Cheung-Miaw! This piece, titled "This Asian American Life", was commissioned by the Asian Art Museum for the Lawrence and Gorretti Lui Hyde Street Art Wall, and will be on display through September 28th."

The 2025 MFA in Comics Anthology is here, and it looks fantastic! Our 15 graduating students each contributed a 10-20 page excerpt on their thesis comics, making for one killer 280 page volume. Thank you to editor @andycomics.bsky.social and book designer GB Tran for making this such a success!

Tonight we have 2 incredible back-to-back events! At 7pm in Timken Auditorium, Sam Sattin will be interviewed live on stage by Justin Hall as part of our Comics in the City series. And at 8:30pm at 1480 17th St., we'll have an opening reception for EMANATA, an exhibition of our MFA students' comics!

Huge congrats to BFA Comics major @mochiicar.bsky.social who's been selected by the Society of Illustrators as one of 3 finalists for this year's Will Eisner Scholarship! This scholarship recognizes the best comics & sequential art student currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in the US.

On Sunday April 20th at 3pm CCA Comics alum Meggie Ramm will be celebrating the release of Batcat Vol 3 at Silver Sprocket, with an easter egg hunt, prizes, and book signings. CCA Comics chair Mel Gillman will be participating, as well as friends of the program Nidhi Chanani and Jen de Oliveira.
