After reviewing the video: Councilmember Saka seems to have used pretty poor phrasing.

My read is: He is attempting to support training Seattle residents for high tech jobs, so they can compete with H1B visa applicants.

Immigration vs. Residents is a bad look, but not overt racism AFAICT.

Perhaps we can find ways of examining why llms say crazy shit, and use that as a theory generation engine for human crazy shit.

(humans are very bad at explaining why they did something. Convincing, but not at all accurate. Remind you of anything?)

Something I've been thinking about is: can we use LLMs as a model for some kinds of human behavior. A model that we can ethically examine.

For example: humans and LLMs both say crazy shit from time to time, but you can't really examine your friend.
