When i was 13 I borrowed Irvings 'The World According to Garp' from the library. They shouldn't have let me borrow it, really. It was my first adult book, and I remember thinking a book can be about anything, anyone, any where. Everyone in it was so different to my own life, it opened my eyes.

Swore I saw...not was. But the book does that to you.

I was tripping reading 'skinny legs and all'. Swore I was a conch shell walking towards me. Loved Fahrenheit too. A book for our times
