I think too, we used to watch things as a shared experience. You might find something on TV, call a friend you thought would be into it, and watch it together. I guess you can with streaming but it seems to cater to a more individual experience

As someone who is only now working my way through Critical Role season 1, Matt makes it super clear this is a game he and his voice actor friends play. Which is part of what makes it so watchable… they’re all engaging on camera and good in voice. But most people don’t play a game other people watch
