The never ending problem of software maintenance. A pain point in many disciplines and not exclusive to image analysis. #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 2:57 PM
Practical advice from Tom’s personal experience. But certainly something that can provide some inspiration. #CBIAS2024

Refreshed and fed, we are continuing after lunch with #CBIAS2024. Session chaired by @martinjones.bsky.social . Speaker is Tom Slater from University of Cardiff sharing his experiences of community building in microscopy and image analysis.

Some words on infrastructure. Being the bridge between the end user and a high performance computing cluster but rewrites IT support #CBIAS2024 Also Sweden is working on establishing a National OMERO server.
November 26, 2024 at 12:55 PM
Recurring analysis requests leading to tools that should be as generalisable as possible and therefore usable by multiple user groups on their specific data. #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 12:47 PM
Code available on GitHub: github.com/sophiamaedler #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 12:33 PM
Second speaker is Sophia Mädler from Mac Planck Institute of Biochemistry introducing scPortrait: building single cell representations based on microscopy images #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 12:24 PM
More data, more problems …. #CBIAS2024 but there are solutions out there and FAIR practices are encouraged and promoted www.eurobioimaging.eu/news/a-guide...
November 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM
#CBIAS2024 Season two chaired by Alessandro Felder, kicking off with a presentation on @eurobioimaging.bsky.social by Aastha Mathur
November 26, 2024 at 11:53 AM
Tracking microtubule growth through labelled EB3 comets. Manually isolating cells of interest and then tracking the comets in this cell only. #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 10:57 AM
Next speaker is Haseeb Qureshi from @sheffielduni.bsky.social introducing his work on tracking microtubule growth during epithelial morphogenesis in inner ear development #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 10:49 AM
Correlation revealed: 95% of cancer cells arrest on CD44- positive cells but cell flow modelling reveals that that is not enough. #CBIAS2024 once a cell attaches, the local flow field changes increasing the likelihood of other cells attaching.
November 26, 2024 at 10:38 AM
Microfluidic setup showing that attachment is flow rate dependent. #CBIAS2024 cell tracks analysed with CellTracks Colab notebook. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM
Next up @guijacquemet.bsky.social on studying cancer cell metastasis in the era of deep learning for microscopy. #CBIAS2024 how do cancer cells attach to endothelial cells? Simple question with not a quick answer
November 26, 2024 at 10:24 AM
Yellow: cancer cells, magenta: killer cells. Preprocessing, segmentation, tracking all done in MATLAB with a handy user interface. #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 10:09 AM
Next up Gebhard Stopper from Saarland University talking about precision immunotherapy: identifying serial killer cells through high resolution single cell analysis. #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 10:01 AM
Live imaging at super resolution, images post processed with denoising (CARE algorithm). Clathrin coated pits (CCP) persist in the axons for 20 mins compared to those in the cell body. But why are the axons producing CCPs and not endocytosing? #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 9:52 AM
Amazing correlative work STORM & platinum replica EM images showing microtubule bundles, actin braids and spectrin. #CBIAS2024
November 26, 2024 at 9:43 AM
First session chaired by @olatznv.bsky.social from @imperialcollegeldn.bsky.social introducing the first speaker of the day @christlet.bsky.social who is imaging the axonal cytoskeleton with single molecule localisation #CBIAS2024
