I’d say you can only lie about what is so clearly evident for so long before folks catch on, but apparently for many, 10 years isn’t long enough for the evidence to set in. You are probably right.

So, isn’t accepting a pardon seen as an admission of guilt in the eyes of the court? (Burdick?) Seems like when state charges are on the table it wouldn’t be wise to accept a federal pardon to begin with, yes?

It was super dumb. She now has license to say whatever she can think of - truth, lie, whatever and we’ll believe it because …behind closed doors and clearly seems suspicious. These are not smart people. And if they go after her, her story is even more believable.

Sadly, the ones holding the bag will be the employees who went against protocol (and law) and provider the records. S—t rolls downhill but pardons are for those at the top. 😐

Yes, a low-income person battling cancer and juggling 2 min-wage jobs is really excited about the prospect of getting to spend their spare time reviewing health insurance policies and hoping any insurers still want to cover their market.
